Mega Bangna is built for scale, but within it stands a structure of restraint. The Olfactory Pavilion draws on Jean Prouvé’s language of utility—frames, grids, and proportion—translated into an environment that holds both function and atmosphere.

Steel, Plaster, and the Discipline of Form

The design begins with a frame of brushed stainless steel. Its precision is tempered by mineral plaster, which diffuses light across surfaces, and by oxidised metal, which anchors weight.

Wood enters as counterpoint, offering warmth to the hand. The materials remain true to themselves, yet together they form a composition that is exact without being severe.

The store carries echoes of industry: grids, lattices, oxidized metal, and sculptural details that recall valves and cogs. What once spoke of machinery now contributes to poise, allowing utility to be read as design.

Silent Logic

Distilled to geometry and sequence, these floral installations mirror the pavilion’s order rather than disrupting it. Executed in reflective finishes, the works fold into their surroundings, extending architecture into the realm of nature.

At the center stands a consultation basin. The architectural frame yields to encounter; what was structural becomes ceremonial. In this moment, the Olfactory Pavilion’s purpose is clear: to hold still, and to give scent its rightful place in space.

Light, Color, and the Passage of Time

A restrained palette, Dusky Fig, Dawn Nimbus, Bark Brown, shapes the atmosphere. As daylight shifts, these tones change in response, giving the interior a sense of motion within constancy. The space remains grounded, but never static.
