For our boutique at Harbour City, Hong Kong, we looked to the city’s harbour for its material memory. Before the skyline rose around it, this edge of water moved to the rhythm of piers, warehouses, and goods passing between hands. In this space, that working history returns through sea-worn blue, weathered metal and light softened by water.
Inside, the harbour becomes a system of order. Clean-lined shelves recall the disciplined geometry of ship decks and containers, while display units sit with the rhythm of berths along a pier. Each object is given its place, held in a room where movement is made calm.
Overhead, fluid fixtures recall the lift of sails and the curve of hulls, casting warmth across brushed metal surfaces. Below, denim-toned upholstery draws the harbour’s deeper blues into the room. The harbour reappears indoors, with blue as its anchor and scent as its current.
