Our first Signature Boutique in Japan opens in Aoyama.

The boutique begins a new spatial chapter for PAÑPURI in Japan, drawing from Thai folktales where humans, nature, and the unseen share the same world.

High past the valleys and cloud, old Thai tales tell of Himmapan, a mythical forest at the foot of a sacred mountain. Its clear waters, strange creatures, mountains, and unseen realms form a landscape beyond the familiar.

For Aoyama, this ancient terrain becomes the starting point for Sanctuary of Beginning.

Through the veil

Working with Kooo Architects, the imagined terrain of Himmapan is translated through Ichijo-Toma, an approach that returns attention to human craftsmanship and the character of natural materials.

Across the walls and ceilings, Juraku-tsuchi, a traditional Japanese clay plaster, bears subtle traces of the hands that applied it. Japanese washi finished with traditional lacquer introduces colors drawn from Thailand, bringing two material languages into the conversation.

Material comes closer. Time begins to slow.

From these architectural traces, the forest begins to stir.

Woven natural fiber

Himmapan is said to hold more landscapes than a single view can contain.

SHIFT carries this restless terrain to the window in woven natural fiber. As daylight passes through, hollows deepen, contours fade, and the landscape changes with every angle.

A forest caught somewhere in the middle of becoming.

WAKE

Scent Altar

In the forests of old Thai tales live creatures belonging to worlds unlike our own.

At the Scent Altar, each waits behind a door with the scent of its realm. Open one and the fragrance is released, offering a first trace of somewhere yet unseen.

There is no prescribed path. Wander from one door to another, follow what draws closer, and return to the scents that call again.

Private Edition

A fragrance may be composed to personal preferences through Private Edition, then carried beyond the skin into daily rituals and living spaces as an Essential Oil, Room Mist, Pillow Mist, or Diffuser.

The Art of Gifting

A gift becomes more particular through engraving, including Japanese characters, candle personalization, and wrapping available exclusively at Aoyama.
